Entrepreneurial. Jay Kantawala found his passion early in life when he landed himself in the travel business twenty-five years ago. He hasn’t looked back since. He launched his career with Cox & Kings, was a key member of the core team that set up the Tata Internet Service’s travel arm, and then honed his talents even further at SOTC, under the leadership of industry veteran Anil Rai. The world was his oyster. In 2006, he decided to explore new frontiers in the travel business and created WIYO Travel, to bring his world of knowledge, experience and contacts to a handful of select clients, and was among the first industry professionals to successfully promote the custom travel concept in the Indian market. From Auckland to Amritsar, Oslo to Cape Town, Jay has seamlessly handled the travel dreams of hundreds of travelers to create memories of a lifetime. Hands-on, and constantly seeking out new destinations, experiences and resources to keep up with a world that is growing smaller by the day, Jay decided to marry his passion for tech and travel – a new idea was born. Jay took the next step in October 2019 and finalised setting up second office of WIYO Travel in Goa. We planned and executed the Goa Office within 10 days and WIYO Travel, Goa Branch was officially opened on 9 Nov 2019. So we now serve our clients from Mumbai and Goa Offices. The Goa Branch will be headed by John Buckenham who has been a travel industry veteran in Goa from 1995, John and his team in Goa will craft exclusive experiences for Goa as well as they will also offer curated travel experiences to residents of Goa.
