Description
Mamata – Born and brought up in Vadodara – the city known for its Art and Culture. I have been travelling since the age of 3 years and never realised that this was here passion which turned into the profession. I have travelled in India covering almost all the states and 22 other countries till now, many more are on the way.
I hold a Bachelors degree in Commerce.
My inclination towards dance was since the age of 3 years so I pursued Bharatanatyam and hold a Visharad (BA in Bharatanatyam) in the same. This has also helped me to get deeply involved into understanding the different cultures in and around India and the world. And now, I am also learning my Hindustani Vocal Classical music (which has again been an age old passion)
In the interim, I hold a Diploma in Fashion Designing.
I was introduced to the Travel Industry in 1999 wherein I did a Travel & Tourism Course from Trade Wings Institute and then did her IATA Consultant level and joined the travel trade. I started her professional carrier by joining as a Sabre Help Desk Representative and then worked with a Travel Agency – World Travels & Tourism, Vadodara. Here she gained the expertise of handling the walk-in clients. I have also worked with the 3 renowned MNCs viz. BTI Sita, FCm Travel Solutions, CWT India (P) Ltd. In between she also did the IATA Managerial level course which helped me to get the best out of my team. I have also headed the Udaan India Visa Consultancy branch in Mumbai.
Then came the time in July 2011, when I thought of doing something on her own and came up with a beautiful venture named Mayur Pankh wherein I have put my heart and soul alongwith the experience gained over the years from the travel trade and the surroundings.
