Our island has been welcoming visitors for more than 900 years. And once you’ve set foot on the soft sand glowing in the warm sun, who can blame them? Excavations on Maamigili – the island Cora Cora Maldives is on – have revealed more than 60 remarkable finds. And we have also sourced more than 400 fascinating relics from across the Maldives, which we have curated at the Dutch Onion Art Gallery.

In the center of the island, explore our outdoor site, where you’ll discover ancient memorials dating back 500 years, and perhaps the most extraordinary find on the island – two temple tanks thought to be around
