With a career spanning over two and half decades and spread across marketing of healthcare & nutrition products to holiday brands and destinations, Nishant’s done it all from traversing across the length and breadth of India to setting up a distribution network for nutritional health drinks, PediaSure, to working across various cultures internationally. A keen observer of trends and societal changes, Nishant is known to keep things simple, have clarity of objectives and believes in superior execution of strategies to achieve business objectives.
Having joined Tourism Australia in 2010, and as the captain of Team Australia, he has been responsible for driving visitation and tourist spend by raising Australia’s awareness and appeal in India. Under his leadership, arrivals from India to Australia have more than tripled over the last decade to reach 400,000 and he has been instrumental in strengthening the people-to-people links between the two countries.
Hailed as a market leader and voted amongst the top 30 CMOs of India by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), Nishant is often invited to speak at various marketing and tourism conclaves.
During his own time, Nishant enjoys playing professional cricket on every weekend and searching for new food haunts. Pro tip, he always knows the best places for food. Good thing, Nishant works for a country that’s as passionate about cricket and food as him.
